Sumanaspati Reddy is a media person with a very diverse profile.  He served All India Radio as Programme Executive and Assistant Director for nearly three decades during which he handled all possible responsibilities in the radio domain, such as: handling almost every genre of radio programming and production - especially talks, features, documentary, drama, folk music, youth programmes, running a metro FM channel and a local radio station. As also strategic planning, marketing and creation of radio archives. The deep community and active social media interface he created at AIR- Adilabad, a local station in north Telangana, for a culturally very diverse rural and tribal audiences has been highly recognised.. Theory of Radio broadcasting, Radio's interface with changing technologies and its challenges and opportunities amidst a rapidly transforming media scenario have been his constant interests. Sumanaspati Reddy is also a creative writer, critic and translator. Photography, documentary cinema, theatre, folk and cultural studies are among his other interests.
