Madhu Ambat is an renowned Indian cinematographer who primarily works on Malayalam and Tamil films apart from Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, Bengali, English and Sanskrit films. With a career spanning over 40 years, Mr. Ambat has won the National Film Award for Best Cinematography thrice and a member of the Indian Society of Cinematographers (ISC).

In 1973, Madhu Ambat started his career in the film industry by taking pictures for a documentary for Ramu Kariat, following his graduation from Pune Film Institute. Throughout the course of a 40 -year career, he has won numerous accolades as the cinematographer for several noteworthy motion pictures.
