Mr. C.K. Jain is a highly accomplished professional with a diverse background spanning over three decades, combining expertise in broadcast engineering with a postgraduate qualification in finance. With a robust career encompassing more than 30 years, he has made significant contributions to the fields of television broadcasting and financial management of broadcast facilities.

Commencing his broadcast journey in 1991 through the Indian Engineering Services at Doordarshan, Mr. Jain quickly rose to prominence by managing the operations of the Central Production Centre, Doordarshan, Delhi. During this period, he oversaw pivotal broadcasting events of national significance, such as the comprehensive live coverage of election results and analysis in 1996, 1998, and 1999 in collaboration with NDTV and TV Today Network.

From 2001 to 2006, Mr. Jain served in the Planning & Development wing of Doordarshan, where he played a key role in formulating a strategic roadmap for the digitalization plan of the extensive studio network. His innovative ideas significantly impacted TV studios, particularly in the realm of DD news operations. Notably, he designed broadcast facilities, including a mobile setup for the Indian Parliamentary Building, earning him the prestigious Prof Sethuraman Award by BES.

Having also led the engineering operations of DD News in Delhi for two years, Mr. Jain extended his influence beyond national borders. He contributed to the growth of state public broadcasters in ABU countries such as Bhutan Broadcasting Services (BBS) and Independent Television Network, Sri Lanka, aiding them in the digitization of broadcast facilities through ABU and India missions.

His commitment to the field is further evident in his contributions to the Broadcast Engineering Society, where he presented papers and participated in various forums. Mr. Jain's expertise extends to renowned organizations such as ABU, IETE, FTII, and Jamia Milia Islamia, where he shared valuable insights through papers and presentations. As a specialized trainer, he imparted knowledge on diverse topics such as TV lighting, digital broadcasting, satellite broadcasting, and financial management of broadcast facilities.

In a pivotal career shift after 21 years in broadcast engineering, Mr. Jain transitioned to broadcast, finance, and commercial management at Prasar Bharati. His leadership facilitated the full automation of commercial operations for All India Radio and Doordarshan, including the successful management of DD Free Dish monetization, contributing to its substantial subscriber base and revenue. Additionally, he also spearheaded the automation of all accounting functions at Prasar Bharati.

Having super-annuated from Prasar Bharati as Deputy Director General (Budget & Accounts, Billing & Reconciliation) in 2022, Mr. Jain has embraced the role of a freelancer, continuing to bring his wealth of experience and expertise to new ventures.
